Learn about the project

On the top floor of a building in Goya, a corner home opens up to the rooftops of Madrid. The project is driven by light, views and a floor plan that allows spaces to relate without losing their identity.

Mouldings, joinery, doors and custom-made furniture create a cohesive whole, where classic elements coexist with architecture designed for the home.

Greens, blues and natural oak run through the house:  the wallpapers, textiles and lacquered pieces. Mirrors, integrated into furniture and walls, expand perspectives and bring the light from outside into the interior.

The result is a bright and quintessentially Madrilenian home, with natural materials, precise geometries and a free use of colour.

Casa Poniente takes its name from its orientation towards the afternoon light and from a home that, from the heights of Goya, looks out over Madrid.
